Simple maths

Upon attempting to look at a situation, let it be a news top story or else, due to human nature one must analyze and form some sort of a stand, which usually is with or against, good or bad, right or wrong. In other words the elementary human thought works on black and white as if shades of gray are none-existent.

To see things in shades of gray is not an easy task, it needs one to actually think and more importantly look deep into the matter before forming an opinion where man is more inclined to the simpler black and white labeling which rises with the human capability to a (1,0,0,1) unimaginative machine.

And while one of the brightest minds of the 20th century said "everything should be as simple as possible but not simpler"* I don't call for a complicated life where one over thinks every minor event its only the "simpler" notion that I'm against.

To me those who fail to see things in shads of gray are the selfsame ones who had problems with fraction mathematics, their minds are rather simple or they can't be bothered to open their minds and stop at the whole numbers level of maths.

  2. I think learning to see some situations in shades of Grey somehow depends on the subjectivity of the matter and your willingness to detach yourself from it. It takes lots of effort indeed
